Description

In partnership with Deltares, a Dutch based research institute that specializes in the fields of water, adaptive delta planning, infrastructure, the SWBNO funded updates to the former New Orleans- Adaptation Support Tool. The New Orleans Resilient City Tool is a web-based software platform that supports the collaborative design and project prioritization process for projects at multi-agency to individual homeowner levels as we work towards green infrastructure and stormwater management projects that contribute to shared goals laid out in the City’s Resiliency Strategy and SWBNO’s Green Infrastructure Plan. With the updates, users of the platform will be able to make informed decisions of the best combination of adaptation measures. Users will have the ability to zoom in to an individual parcel level, customize evaluation criteria, rank green infrastructure and stormwater management measures according to their appropriateness and applicability to the selected parcel(s), and estimate the effectiveness of each measure in each project area, while considering land use conditions, adaptation targets and local preferences.
