Description
INTRO (In-School Need to Try Robotics Out) gives teachers the chance to try robotics in their classes as a condensed, one-time activity, at a low cost with no commitment. We help schools and their students evaluate if robotics is worth investing in by eliminating the financial, knowledge, and time commitment barriers to robotics.
Over the past year, INTRO has engaged over 250 students across 6 New Orleans schools. 98% of INTRO participants are on free and reduced lunch, and 82% are from ethnicities underrepresented in STEM. 85% said that they learned something about robotics, 87% said they thought working with robots is fun, and 88% said they were interested in more robotics activities.
RoboRecovery
RoboRecovery is a 501c3 nonprofit organization run by Tulane University students. We provide low-cost educational robotics programs for schools in the New Orleans area.
