Teachers love our professional learning! You don’t have to be a software developer to teach computer science! This year-long Professional Learning Program is designed to support you throughout the academic year as you teach, engage, and empower your students to explore computer science. Our Professional Learning Program makes teachers of any background feel confident to teach computer science. Support is provided throughout the academic year as you teach, engage, and empower your students to explore computer science. - No prerequisites required for teachers and students new to computer science! - Content is accessible for both students and teachers - Supplies scaffolding needed to build an in-depth understanding of CS and digital literacy - Our Code.org workshops are led by local facilitators - Our network will provide you with opportunities to connect and learn from other Louisiana educators - You will become part of a STEM education community that includes people from many different fields and backgrounds
Capital Area STEM Network Center
The Capital Area Regional STEM Center, a member of the Louisiana Regional STEM Network, was funded to improve access to STEM education, participation, and advancement from Pre-K to Grey. We support in-school and after-school programs, local STEM outreach organizations, STEM community events, and workforce development efforts in high-demand STEM fields.
