Communities of Practice Workshops are STEM-centered professional development opportunities for k-12 educators sponsored by STEM Library Lab and our various community partners. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Join our Louisiana Science Standard expert, Karen Marshall, to experience phenomenon-based learning as a student in the classroom. Karen will demonstrate the power of hands-on learning in the science classroom through a real-world experiment on anoles in southern Louisiana. Karen Marshall has 20 years of experience in education, is the CEO of Innovative STEM Solutions, the Director of Professional Development at SLL, and a pivotal team member at the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Join us to start off the school year with the knowledge of the highest quality science curriculum from 10 am - 12:30 pm on July 20, 2024. Snacks and refreshments will be provided as well as A SNEAK PEEK INTO THE FRESHLY STOCKED TEACHER-FREE STORE. The Teacher-Free Store will not be open to the public until the New School Year's Eve Party on July 25th, but attendees of this workshop, will get VIP access to the free store after completion of the workshop.
