Description

Are you a young musician looking to become a professional artist or bandleader? In this workshop for youth ages 14 - 24, you’ll learn how to make the leap from school to the professional world of music. Success in the industry is not only about playing: it’s about finding your voice, developing your career, and creating change.

Led by Gregory Agid and Ashley Shabankareh, we’ll focus on practical advice you can use right away from mindsets, building a meaningful presence on social media, and understanding the basics of managing your career. You’ll learn what it takes to become a bandleader and how to get your music into the world. This is a chance to get real guidance from people who are walking the walk and want to help you succeed.

This class will focus on:

  • The transition from school to life as a musician

  • What it means to be a band leader

  • How to use social media to grow your fanbase without losing authenticity

  • Real-world advice from musicians who’ve made the jump from school to professionals

This workshop is free, but advance registration is required.
