Description
Calling all youth organizations interested in fishing! Become a certified Aquatic Volunteer Instructor with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and learn how to teach youth topics including fishing and casting, knot tying, fish identification, fish anatomy, and more. Certified instructors will have FREE access to fishing gear, tackle, and more. The first 5 youth leaders (must be 18 and older) that register and complete our December 21, 2024 workshop will be eligible for free fishing equipment and free entry into the Big Bass Rodeo for up to 10 youth (Big Bass Rodeo is Saturday, March 29, 2025 in New Orleans City Park.)
The LDWF Fisheries Outreach Team offers programs to formal and informal educators and youth leaders across the state to connect students with Louisiana’s natural resources.
