Description
Entrepreneurship Works is a transformative summer program created by Community Works to foster business acumen, creative thinking, and confidence in middle school students. The program provides a hands-on introduction to entrepreneurship through real-world learning, mentorship, and opportunities to design, build, and pitch their own business ideas. Running for four weeks in July, this program bridges the summer enrichment gap with an empowering experience that helps students turn big ideas into action and see themselves as the leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
Community Works provides out-of-school time, afterschool and summer, enrichment for 700 young people daily and a pipeline of over 80 artist, musician, and culture bearers with direct teaching experience that can be converted into a career in education furthering an increase in the number of trained educators and young people that learn, live, and grow within New Orleans.
