Description

This summer, the Workforce Development program and the Young Conservatory will combine creative forces again to bring you the delicious adventures of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. at Le Petit Theatre!

In the mornings, Workforce Development students will learn from industry professionals in areas of scenic design, painting, costuming, prop making, lighting, and sound in order to design, construct, and run the production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. Workforce Development Intensive available for rising 8th-12th Graders.

In the afternoons, Young Conservatory students will gather to learn audition and performance techniques and get ready for the Wonka factory tour. They’ll perform Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. for family and friends after a SWEET summer of rehearsals under the direction of LPT’s Artistic Director, A.J. Allegra. Young Conservatory Intensive available for rising 3rd-12th Graders.

Students can participate in one or both programs, depending on their interest and availability. 

June 29 - July 24, 2026 (no classes on Friday, July 3)

Workforce Development Intensive: 9 AM - 12 PM (Mon-Fri) through July 17; and 9 AM - 4 PM starting July 20; for rising 8th - 12th Graders

Young Conservatory Intensive: 12:30 PM - 4 PM* (Mon-Fri); for rising 3rd - 12th Graders

*note that on the final week, we may request to rehearse until 5 or 6 PM, depending on production needs

Performances: July 24 & 25 at 7:00 PM; July 26 at 3:00 PM

All workshops and performances will be held at Le Petit Theatre.
