Xavier University and GNO STEM Initiative are excited to host the 2022 NOLA Back 2 School Fest presented by SHELL -- Saturday, July 30 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. This year, we plan to distribute 4,000 backpacks! Volunteers are critical to a success event. You can help us ensure that New Orleans area school children in grades K - 6 start the new school year with the essential tools they need for success. Please join us for the following volunteer opportunities: Friday, July 22 & Saturday, July 23 - Help us pack 4,000 backpacks with school supplies. Two volunteer shifts will be offered each day. Choose 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, July 30 | NOLA Back 2 School Fest - Distribute backpacks/school supplies and food items to pre-registered families.
