Learn how green infrastructure (nature-based water management systems) can help reduce flood risk and other issues caused by excessive runoff. We will go over what it means for a surface to be permeable and impermeable, the water cycle, the current stormwater management systems in New Orleans (gray infrastructure), the short-comings of gray infrastructure, and 'living with water' principles.
